I'd have to say that I come out as Christian first. I have identified as a Christian for longer than I have identified as a gay woman, and so maybe practice has made this easier. It still takes a bit of courage to speak about my faith, especially in my line of work, but I try my best. I'd love to hear more about your experiences with both of these.

I think it really depends on what setting I’m in. At work, it feels somewhat easier to come out as gay first, because my colleagues are very vocal about being affirming. It’s more intimidating to talk about my faith at work though because people there tend to be more negative towards Christians/religious beliefs in general. But then in a non-affirming Christian context it’s a lot easier to “come out” as Christian first.
